The
high-point of analog recorders. Capstanless, this machine handles
tape like nothing else (although I still get scared during fast-wind).
This machine is so great in fact that we have two of them. If you
mix down anything, you should mix it down to an ATR. Many have been
converted to ½" but both of ours are ¼".
We will get a ½" conversion if enough people complain
about it to us and we get sick of hearing about it. On of ours is
a late model with all the mods done at the factory, the other is
an early model with factory mods done most probably at the ABC.
