I
take back all the bad things I ever said about this thing. It is
a bloody good microphone, and thankfully I'm over my 'bag rode for
the hell of it' phase.
In
many cases, it's a little more versatile than the U47 although not
as flattering. People that have used it say it sounds alot like
a Fet47, which I can't verify because I've never used one. Like
all mics, you really need to match it to the talent. I find it's
better on less sibilant singers, and works better with male over
femal voices.

like using it with a 1073, doesn't work so well with a V72 or similar
tube pre.
