On
first listen, they sound trashy. Actually, they sound too mid-rangy
and feel like they're piercing your eardrums (may have something
to do with the fact that they hanging from the ceiling in the recording
room). But in reality, they sound very very accurate and once you
get used to their lo-fi sound, they kick ass. You can imagine how
all those great-sounding albums from the 70's were mixed on a pair
of these. Used for vocal recording (by flipping the phase of one)
or monitoring during tracking.
