Stick
this thing on the side of a snare and voila! Instant cracking snare
sound. Forget the SM57, leave that mic for the also-rans. This mic
is also good for recording loud guitars, kick, bass and anywhere
else you wouldn't stick your own ear. Under-rated as a vocal mic
but very useable and sometimes better than a condenser, depending
on the lispyness and sibilance of the vocal talent.
