An
original Rode NT1 with the crappy chinese electronics removed and
replaced with discrete JFET transistor electronics. Took the original
transformer and pounded it with a ballpein hammer. Sounds better
but the capsule is still quite ordinary. Wouldn't use as a vocal
mic but sounds good on guitars and brass. Must pick the right preamp
though.
