Thanks for stopping in to the Linear Recording tech site. We are equipment obsessed gear sluts and we aren't afraid to admit it (which is really a problem in itself). We thought we'd include a site specifically for the jargon so we don't have to bore to death/lose/alienate clients because we over-nerded the website.

On these pages we have (or hope to have shortly) detailed information on bits of gear we like and own, with schematics, photos and highly-opinionated opinions.

At Linear we lean towards the vintage and the old, even though we have quite a bit of new stuff as well. We hope you find some or all of this info useful and would love any feedback you might have. We are also more than happy to help where possible but understandably giving out free technical support/information can't be our highest priority so please be patient and if we don't get back to you, keep bugging us.

We are also always looking to buy interesting old, quirky vintage equipment (especially Australian-made) from the 60's and 70's - contact us if there is anything you have and want to offload. Note we will buy almost any professional AWA audio equipment from the 70's...
